Janet was born and raised in Kiambu, Kenya. She was brought up in the Presbyterian Church where she got to know the Lord at a tender age of 12. During her high school years, she was involved in the leadership of the Christian Union and also joined a Para church organization known as the Regions Beyond Ministry in Thika, Kenya where she served as a board member.
Janet got involved with KCFA while attending college in Harrisburg VA. She has been in the leadership of Singles Department (also known as A Promise Generation) since 2003. She has served as a Deputy Director and is the current Director. Janet enjoys Bible Expository preaching and teaching. She is passionate about seeing Young adults get grounded in the word and make a commitment to walk with God.
Janet is married to Steve Muchiri and they have a miracle daughter Annette. They enjoy serving God as a family. They reside Rhode Island where Janet works as a Mental Health Therapist.
Hilda Kahia is an
internationally acclaimed Bible teacher, psalmist, Gospel singer, and
evangelist. Founder and President of Mercy Ministries Outreach in Ft Worth, Texas, She is a member in good standing at The
Potters House, the church pastored by Bishop. T. D. Jakes.
Ev. Hilda was born in Kenya, East Africa
and was saved and called into the ministry at a young age. She was
called to reach the unreached and tell the untold. Ev. Hilda served
under her spiritual mother Evangelist Teresa Wairimu of Faith
Evangelistic Ministry for over ten years in Nairobi, Kenya.
About seven years ago God called her to
America and she continued in the work of the ministry.
I first attended a KCFA Promise Generation meeting in the spring of 2004 and instantly got hooked. Since then I have served in various capacities with the department, at the annual conference, and at my local chapter in Indiana.
One of the best things for me has been meeting new people and creating lasting friendships over the years. The bond of fellowship that exists in this organization is real because it is Christ-centered and I'm sure others can testify of the same.
My best friend will be the one who offers me bhajia and Kenyan Coca Cola. In Jesus' name.
I first learnt about KCFA through the Baltimore Chapter during their annual Christmas dinner. I am not sure of the exact year but it was either in 2001 or 2002. I remember the title of the message though, “He called you out to bring you in”. A statement made by the speaker has stayed with me: “We have been ejected to be redirected but not rejected”. Sometime we may feel rejected because our plans are not working out but God might be redirecting your path, stay in His school, He will teach you His ways, discipline you, and eventually offer you an everlasting inheritance.
I attended my first KCFA annual conference in 2003 and I have been hooked since then. I enjoy helping the Children & Youth Department during the annual conference and planning the singles' retreats. I also serve in our local chapter in Delaware and my prayer and hope is that KCFA will be a channel that will help foster a heart that is sold out to God in preparation of His second coming.

I attended my first KCFA annual conference at James Madison University in Virginia in July 2009 and was impressed by how the organization is transforming lives through the Word of God.
I am much involved in the design and maintenance of the Singles and Young Adults department website and other computer related activities like designing of documents.
My love of laboring in the Lord's Vineyard has never wavered. I know whom I serve and my effort is never in vain. My God is the overall paymaster and the paycheck is really fat! Nothing of my own do I use; but all I use is everything He has given me to use for His glory. I have nothing to lose, but to gain everything.
